Today Desert Hand Therapy was packed. There was this guy there asking everyone what happened and the Therapist made a funny comment to me. She said "he makes it seem like you are all in prison...like what are you in for? Dude you're not in prison". And I gave her a most genuine smile and laughed. She doesn't know my story and she doesn't have to, but that statement means more to me than she could possibly understand.
Some people feel like PT is negative, like some kind of punishment for having an injury. I will honestly say I don't particularly enjoy some of the exercises and some of the things she does to my arm really hurt, but it is all for the greater good and is helping me tremendously.
Today I am truly grateful that I am not in prison! I'm grateful that I get to breathe free air and go to PT. I'm grateful for painful exercises and stretching, especially when they are finished, and specifically because of how they help me.
