I Broke Something Else

Yesterday I broke a record since I've been free and ran my first sub 9 minute mile. I started out at about 12 minute miles not having run in years. This is still very slow for me as I used to be able to easily pull 7 minute miles for good distance without breaking a sweat, but it is indeed progress!

Today I am grateful that there things I can do to physically strengthen my heart AND things I can do to spiritually strengthen my heart.

A few of the "spiritual exercises" I've picked up are meditation, "getting outside of myself" or reaching out to others just to see how they are doing (and listening to them...it turns out it's actually NOT all about me as I previously thought :-) and daily prayer.
