Being Homeless

Being homeless really sucked. At least in AZ it's not bad weather. Stuff like not showering for weeks on end, and when you do you have to bird bath in a Starbucks restroom, continually getting my backpack stolen (fall asleep outside in Central Phoenix or east Mesa with a backpack on and watch what happens) having to wear the same pair of socks so long that they turn into a rotten smelling, solid mass that has to practically be chiseled off your feet, traveling all morning to a soup kitchen or free feed up place and getting there 30 mins after they close up. Finding a reasonable place to sleep in an apartment complex or on the canal only to be told to leave by the cops....yes they call it "urban camping" and it is an arrestable offense.

Today I'm grateful to have a consistent place to shower, do laundry, store cook and eat my own food, safely store my valuables and personal belongings with no fear of them growing legs. Also that it's all legal and just doing this basic stuff wont get me arrested.
